‘Dyrham Sunset,’ oil on stretched canvas, 25x25x3cm.

This painting comes ready to hang or can be framed in a floater frame after purchase to provide additional security to the piece and to tie it to the style of the room where it is intended to hang.

This painting was inspired by a summer evening sunset over Dyrham park. I had been to an open air performance of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in the park estate, and on my walk back through the long dry grasses the clouds stretched like candy floss over the group of happy picnickers walking to the carpark. The light and the colours perfectly encapsulated the light, happy glow of the event, and the contentedness and peace I felt on that warm summer’s evening.

I have taken every effort to depict my work accurately in these images in different lights, however variation from photograph to reality is often unavoidable - generally with the original looking brighter and clearer than photographs depict. If you are concerned about image variation I would advise looking at images carefully across different devices before purchasing.
